Staple gun nails for fastening decorative trims and corner mouldings as well as thin furniture back panels. The nails with their very small heads are barely visible.
With soft wood, you should use 1/3 of the nail length for the fastening material, 2/3 of the nail length for the anchoring material.
If using hardwood as the anchoring material, a 1/1 ratio is enough.
