The thermostatic mixing valve VTS 520/550 can be used in domestic hot-water systems in a central spot directly in-line with the heat generator. It is heated up by a solar heating where high hot-water temperatures may occur in the tank and where a constant mixed-water temperature regulation and an anti-scald protection is required for the total system or a part thereof.
Furthermore, the thermal control valve in the hot water pipe should be equipped with a heat-insulating loop to reduce thermal load. Further mixed-water temperature control devices are installed directly at the tapping points of showers, basins, etc. to increase safety and comfort.
This series is also suitable for domestic hot-water installations equipped with hot water circulation.
In Germany, the DVGW work sheets W551 - W553 should be observed.
