Suitable for drinking water
The KFR valve can be distinguished from the outside by its test screw, which is responsible for the functioning of the non-return check valve. The particularly streamlined design prevents pressure losses and noises. The valve is installed after the meter at the domestic water connection of the drinking-water installation in the direction of the flow. An arrow on the valve indicates the correct installation. It serves as a shut-off for the drinking-water pipe and prevents the backflow of the water from the house network into the water supply net.
The valve additionally has a small drain tap, which is arranged in the direction of the flow and which is responsible for emptying the pipeline.
The bonnet has a grease chamber without dead zone in the rising stem. It provides no room for stagnation water, germs or limestone, and is therefore considered as legionella-safe.
The handwheel is made of tough, very hard and rigid plastic.
